Sept 20th UEA     0     Ladies Hearts     5

In their first season playing ladies football the hearts have got off to a good start beating Taverham Res 5-0 and Wymondham Ladies 3-0 in two pre season friendlies. The first league game at Colney lane against U.E.A Ladies could not have gone better and after great team performance we ran out 5-0 winners.

TEAM: Charlotte Swann, Vicky Swann, Katie Swann, Hannah Dugdale, Amy Batch, Polly Tarrant, Mia Boorman, Megan Cletheroe, Hannah Waters, Lauren Matthews

Sept 27th     Hethersett   5   Acle   4

Hethersett were up against a very good and physical side in Acle who had previosly won 20-0 and 5-0 so we were expecting a tough game and so it proved. We took a first minute lead through Hannah, but soon found ourselves 2-1 down and this is how it stood until just before half time when Hannah scored her second. In the second half Acle came straight at us and Charlotte produced 3 wonder saves to keep us in the match. This encouraged us to push forward and 3 more goals followed in 5 minutes. Acle continued to fight back scoring twice more but we hung on for a great victory.

TEAM: Charlie Swann, Vicky Swann, Mia Boorman, Polly Tarrant, Megan Cletheroe, Jess Hollis, Amy Brookes, Amy Batch, Hannah Waters, Lauren Matthews, Hannah Dugdale, Kate Ellis.

October 4th          Freethorpe       0      Hethersett    18

Despite 5 morning call offs due to flu, we managed to field 11 players against Freethorpe and ran out 18-0 winners. Hannah Waters led the way with 11 goals, Lauren hit 4, charlotte, polly and vicky also scoring.

TEAM:  Charlotte Swann, Vicky Swann, Rosemary Richardson, Megan Cletheroe , Sarah Browne, Polly Tarrant, Amy Batch, Hannah Waters, Hannah Dugdale, Lauren Matthews, Emily Simpson.

October  11th            Hethersett     9       Hemsby    1

Hethersett made it 27 goals from two games as they stayed top of the league with another convincing victory at home to Hemsby. The goals flowed early on and after just 25 minutes Hethersett were already 6-1 up with all their goals coming from Hannah Waters.

The score stayed at 6-1 until the second half when Charlotte Fisher added two more including a penalty and Hannah Waters completed the scoring with her seventh goal of the afternoon to take her personal tally from the last two games to 18.

TEAM: Charlie Swann, Mia Boorman, Megan Cletheroe, Vicky Swann, Polly Tarrant, Becks Codling, Katie Swann, Rosemary Richardson, Hannah Dugdale, Hannah Waters, Charlie Fisher, Sarah Browne, Amy Batch

October 25th            Waveney       0        Hethersett    7

Despite having to adjust to losing two key players ,who were called on by first team late on, after they had 4 late call offs ,we adapted really well. Becks Codling took the captains arm band and did a fantastic job in centre of midfield alongside Polly Tarrant who again was playing there for first time. Along with Katie Swann and Vicky Swann they took complete control of the midfield from kick off and pretty much dominated the   whole 90 minutes. Rhianne Brister making her debut for ladies after turning 16 on Wednesday scored the first after good work from Katie and Mia. Hannah then added 3 more before half time. Charlie made 2 good saves before half time to make ht score 4-0. Second half went much the same way with further goals from Hannah 2 and Charlie Fisher

TEAM: Charlie Swann, Vicky Swann, Mia Boorman, Megan Cletheroe, Rosemary Richardson, Rhianne Brister, Hannah Waters, Becks Codling, Emily Simpson, Polly Tarrant, Sarah Browne, Charlie Fisher

Team -,   Charlie Swann, Mia Boorman, Megan Cletheroe, Vicky Swann, Polly Tarrant, Hannah Dugdale, Becks Codling, Amy Batch, Hannah Waters, Lauren Matthews, Rhianne Brister, Katie Swann

Hearts played some good football in the first half but found it almost impossible to break down the 6 man defence Runton came with and at half time it was still 0-0. we kept playing our game and eventually broke Runton twice ,with Hannah scoring twice. a great team performance and some particular stirring work from Charlie in goal with a string of fine saves.

February 7th          Hethersett     5        Hockering   0

A very youthful Hethersett team had Ellie Preece in goal and Alicia Lacey both making their debuts for the senior team. Experience came from Hazel Shepherd and Lisa Ferdani. It was a great effort to overcome a hard working Hockering team.

But for some last ditch tackles and lack of luck in the final third the score line could have been doubled, to the credit of Hockering they fought right through to the end of the game.

Hannah was frustrated by tight making on the day but this made space for others and the goal scorers on the day were Charlotte Fisher 2, Victoria Swann, Alicia Lacey and Rhianne Brister.1
