Sept 13th  Hellesdon     4      Hethersett      0

Hethersett battled well in the first half and had most of the possession but couldn't score. Hellesdon broke away to score to make it 1-0 at half-time. Harrison Alborough hurt his ankle in making a fine clearance and struggled to continue. Hellesdon scored two early goals after the break and this knocked Hethersett's confidence. A late goal made the final score 4-0.

Hethersett struggled to get going. Harrison Alborough went into goal which allowed Taylor Morris to work hard in midfield. Hethersett came under pressure with Josh Bradshaw outstanding in defence. Diss scored in the first minute and then dominated to finish 4-0 winners.

Sept 27th    Hethersett     0   Spixworth    2

Both teams started very well in this evenly matched contest. Spixworth took the lead just before half time, but with Hethersett's heads up, the tight contest continued. The second half was similar to the first with both teams playing very well, until Spixworth scored just before the final whistle.

Man of the Match was Taylor Morris (HAFC Keeper) who was exceptional in the match with a series of fine saves.

Sept 27th   Hethersett     2    Poringland    3

Both teams started well in this competetive and evenly matched game, but 2 superb shots from Hethersett Striker, Liam Nobbs, meant Hethersett took the lead.

Hethersett bravely decided to keep their 1-3-2 formation despite being 2-0 up, but Poringland battled back into the game scoring 2 goals before half time making it 2-2.

The second half was extremely close with both teams playing very well and having near misses, with Poringland eventually scoring from a corner to take a 3-2 lead. Poringland held onto this lead and were eventual winners in a superb match that could have gone either way.

Man of the match was HAFC striker Liam Nobbs, who is going to get on the score sheet a lot this year with his ability to shoot and score superb goals from anywhere.

October 11th          Thorpe        2       Hethersett     3

Hethersett started this game with a lot of players missing due to illness. Giving certain players a chance to prove themselves. Hethersett started positively with a fine left footed goal by Aaron Walker. Hethersett kept the lead until half time. In the 2nd half Fredi dropped into defence to protect the lead but Thorpe scored twice. Another great goal from Charlie Bion brought the teams level, after Fredi pushed up into midfield again. Liam Nobbs scored in the last minute to get a very much deserved win. All the boys were a credit to the club and battled hard to come back even after going behind.

October 11th             Hillside     1       Hethersett   1

Hethersett started well in this game. But started to tire towards half-time. The teams went in 0-0 at half-time. After a few changes including putting Aaron Walker in goal to allow Oli Hudson-Church to play outfield and introducing new player James Roe up front. Hethersett went in front with a great shot from Charlie Bion which crept inside the far post. Hillside equalised with a good volley from a corner to make the final score 1-1.

October 18th          Wymondham     6    Hethersett   0

Hethersett were under pressure from the start against a good well organised Wymondham side.Hethersett were chasing shadows as Wymondham passed the ball well in the first half.Hethersett went in 5-0 down at half time.After a few changes at half time which included putting Taylor Morris in goal and bringing James on for Fredi Hethersett looked a different side winning tackles and pressing forward with Oli and Liam making some good runs.Liam hit the post and Aaron was unlucky as the ball ran away from him for the goalkeeper to collect.Harrison,Josh & James put in some fine tackles to stop Wymondham from scoring.Taylor pulled off some fine saves but Wymondham scored one more to make the final score 6-0.

October 25th              Blofield       2     Hethersett    1

Hethersett started the game very positive attacking and pushing forward which paid off with a great goal from Ben Watson from long range. Oli also hit the bar from a cracking shot from the right hand side. Hethersett kept the lead until half time. Second half Blofield (who started the day 2nd in the league) passed the ball well and scored twice to make the final score 2-1.

October 25th                Toftwood     1    Hethersett   0

Hethersett battled hard in this game and were unlucky to go in 1-0 down at half time after the defence failed to clear the ball to allow the Toftwood attacker to score from close range. Taylor Morris had great game in goal pulling off some fine saves. Harrison Alborough  put in a fine display in defence winning all his tackles. Oli, Liam & Ben all came close with some great shots on goal but unfortunately luck was against Hethersett and the final score was 1-0 to Toftwood.

November 22nd       Hethersett      0     Jex    3

Under-10s Hethersett played the game in good spirit in wet and windy conditions. They battled well against a good Jex side who started the day top of the league having only lost one game and drawn one. Hethersett went in at half time 1-0 down. Second half Hethersett had most of the play and were unfortuntae not to score on a number of occasions. Charlie Bion was replaced by Aaron Walker midway through the second half after Charlie took a knock. Jex scord two more good goals to make the final score 3-0.

December 6th         Hellesdon    6     Hethersett    1

Hethersett started the game in great form in wet & windy conditions. Hethersett took the lead with a fine goal from Aaron Walker, which they held until half time. Second half Hellesdon dominated after getting an early goal. Hethersett battled uphill with rain & wind against them. They found it hard to clear the ball from defence. Hellesdon scored a further 5 goals to make the final score 6-1.Hellesdon manager praised the boys on their commitment & sportsmanship after such a heavy defeat in unbearably bad conditions.

December 6th         Diss     4     Hethersett   1

Hethersett did not get off to a good start in this game being second to the ball in bad weather conditions (wet & windy) playing uphill. They went in 2-0 down at half time with very little chances for either side. Second half Hethersett looked a different side battling hard &winning the ball. Charlie Bion scored a fantastic volley from an Aaron Walker corner which raised the confidence of the Hethersett team. But as Hethersett pushed for the equaliser Diss broke through the defence to score twice more to make the final score 4-1.

February 14th       Jex       5     Hethersett    2

Hethersett battled really hard in a well matched first half. Jex scored first after a number of great saves from Taylor Morris in the Hethersett goal.Hethersett also had there share of chances before Liam Nobbs scored a fantastic goal just before half time. Second half was much  the same as the first both sides having chances although Jex finishing well showing why they are top of the league only losing once this season.  Charlie Bion scored a super goal after running from his own half under pressure to calmly slot the ball passd the keeper at the near post. the final score was 5-2.Man of the match was James Cowan who was solid at the back although all the boys were super after a long break from playing competitive football.

February 28th          Costessey    0         Hethersett     1

Hethersett battled really hard in bad weather conditions playing as a team.They passed the ball well and came close to scoring on a numerous of occasions.The teams went in level at half time 0-0.Second half was much the same as the first and Hethersett scored a goal from a corner taken by Aaron Walker which hit a Costessey player on its way into the goal.Hethersett finished worthy winners and done themselves,managers and parents proud.
 
February 28th             Lakeford      3       Hethersett    0
 

Hethersett battled really hard in bad weather conditions coming close to scoring on numerous occasions. Lakeford scored 2 good goals to go in at half time 2-0 up. Hethersett made two changes at half time taking off James Cowan and Aaron Walker and bringing on Harrison Alborough and Thomas Anderton. Lakeford scored once more to make the final score 3-0. Hethersett never gave up and could have scored a few chances as the score did not reflect the game. Hethersett have gained confidence in the last three games and if they continue in this manner they should start to climb the league. Well done boys!

Hethersett battled hard and were unlucky to lose 2-0 in a close match. Hethersett deserve more from their hard work.

March 7th               Spixworth      2     Hethersett   0

Hethersett played well again. The defence failed to clear and Spixworth scored with a scrappy goal. Charlie Bion then hit the bar with a header and Spixworth added a second.

March 14th             Hillside        4    Hethersett   1

Hethersett battled very well in an even game. Hillside scored two fortunate goals in first half before Ollie Hudson Church  scored from a corner to make the half time score 2-1. Second half Hethersett began to tire and Hillside scored two further goals to make the final score 4-1.Hillside manager congratulated the boys and said they did not deserve to lose the game on their commitment and attitude.

March 14th               Thorpe      1     Hethersett    1

Hethersett got off to a great start against a strong Thorpe side.Liam picked the ball up and dribbled passed 3 or 4 players before firing a cracking shot which flew in at the far corner of the net.Hethersett held the lead until half time.Second half Hethersett soaked up the pressure and defended superbly.Thorpe eventually scored to make the final score 1-1.

March 21st               Hethersett    0     Blofield 1

Hethersett again put on a fine performance against a strong Blofield side who are sitting on top of the league with no games lost all season.Half time score was 0-0 with Hethersett having most of the ball first half.Second half was much the same but unfortunately Blofield forced the ball over the line after a goalmouth scramble to finish the game 1-0 winners.

Hethersett played really well in this close game.The match was played in good spirit and very enjoyable and exciting for both players and supporters. Charlie Bion came really close with a fine shot that just went wide. Also Oli Hudson-Church hit ashot from outside the area which went over the bar.The game finished 0-0 and both teams played well.

March 28th             Costessey   1      Hethersett   2

Hethersett were under pressure at the start of this game.Then Hethersett got a throw in, which Oli took, Liam headed the ball into the path of Aaron to fire a great left foot volley past the keeper.Costessey did not give up and scored after keeper Taylor drop a cross to go in 1-1 at half time. Second half Costessey scored from a free kick to make the final score 2-1.

March 28th         Lakeford         6     Hethersett    0

Lakeford got off to a great start scoring straight from kick off, then again from the restart. Hethersett never got going and found themselves 4-0 down at half time. Second half was much the same as the first and Hethersett finished their season with a 6-0 defeat. It's been a difficult but enjoyable season. Well done boys. Let's look forward to 11-a-side football next season.
