Aaron O'carroll extened the lead with a long range drive shortly before the visitors pulled one back to set up a tight finish. But Warminger scored his 18th of the season to secure the points. Hethersett suffered the worst possible start conceding a 1st minute goal to the league leaders. Hethersett showed their superb character throughout and played the better football after the break and were unlucky not to score. Lakeford scored a late breakaway goal to gain a rather flattering 5-0 win. Tom Reed, Jack Walker and Josh Denny took the eye in a Hethersett performance of great commitment.

December 13th         Mulbarton      1    Hethersett     3

The game was played on a heavy surface making passing football difficult. Hethersett took the lead with a close range effort from Robert Warminger shortly before the game was marred by a nasty knee injury to Hethersett's Jake Easter. After a lengthy stoppage play resumed and the home team were awarded a penalty just before the break. Matty Butcher reacted superbly to save ensuring Hethersett the half time lead. Warminger doubled the visitors' lead with a fantastic looping header and completed yet another hat trick coolly slotting past the keeper. Mulbarton applied late pressure pulling a goal back. Easters visit to the A and E revealed muscle damage around the knee. Thanks to Mr Nurse the ref for his help given to the player, and calming players in a difficult situation. January 24th       Norwich Utd    1    Hethersett   2

After several postponed matches the first half was void of much quality football. A defensive lapse resulted in Norwich Utd gaining a half time lead. Jacob Frazer replaced the injured Harry Silvester, as Hethersett began apply pressure. This led to a goal mouth scramble with Tom Wyatt stabbing the ball home from short range. Shortly after Hethersett keeper Matthew Butcher was brought outfield replaced by Max Bishop. Hethersett continued going forward, and after being foiled by the Norwich keeper on several occasions, Robert Warminger drilled home what proved to be the winner. Norwich applied late pressure but Hethersett stood firm, coping with added time to earn a well deserved victory. James Lemmon, Josh Denny, Andy Cowen, Will Parker, Jack Walker, Tom Reed and Ethan Poole also deserve praise for their team effort.

February 7th       St Andrew's     1   Hethersett   4

Hethersett began the game missing several unavailable players which made the starting line-up look somewhat unfamiliar. The first half saw very little goal mouth action until Jacob  Frazer's goal line headed clearance led to a scramble resulting in a deflected St. Andrew's goal. The second period saw Hethersett apply pressure resulting in a Robert Warminger equaliser.  This gave Hethersett confidence with Warminger completing another hat-trick following some superb build up play. He then set up Tom Read who slotted home from an acute angle to cap off a tremendous individual  performance. Congratulations to the team for an awesome second half display to earn a notable 4-1 win, their third away victory in succession.

February 14th      Hethersett     3     Lakeford    8

Lakeford as in the previous fixture proved to be a strong skilful side taking a early lead. The visitors added 2 more goals before Hethersett's hard working Tom Reed latched onto a free kick to pull a goal back late in the first half. Hethersett soon reduced the arrears when Robert Warminger ran through the defence to slot the ball past the keeper. Another Warminger effort was ruled off side before the visitors scored. Robert then scored another, again running through Lakefords defence. Further late goals from Lakeford spoiled Hethersetts comeback, to end the winning run.

February 28th            North Walsham      1     Hethersett   2

Continuous rain played a major role in a well contested game but fortunately the pitch stood up to the elements. Defences dominated the early exchanges until Robert  Warminger burst through to beat the Walsham keeper at the far post. Hethersett held the lead until the break and looked to have extended their advatage when a Jake Frazer header was adjudged marginally off side. As both sides tired in the heavy conditions Matty Butcher was finally beaten in the Hethersett goal after another fine performance to bring the scores level. Walsham applied  pressure but the visitors  rear guard stood firm with Will Parker scooping the ball off the line. With six minutes remaining the midfield set Waminger through again running away from goal . As the walsham keeper  advanced  the prolific Hethersett striker lobbed the ball into the net. More home  pressure was absorbed enabling Hethersett to earn another hard fought 2-1 away win. An ever improving Andy Cowen beside club stalwart Josh Denny were awesome at the back with Reed, Walker and Methab working hard in midfield.

This match turned out to be a tight affair with Hethersett visiting the league leaders Scole. Hethersett took the lead midway through the first half when Robert Warminger lobbed the keeper from wide on the left. The remainder of the opening period

produced few chances but Scole began to cause the visiting defence more problems after the break. Scole equalised with a scrambled goal six minutes before time setting up a tense finish. After four minutes of added time Scole scored another scruffy goal to

win the game. The Referee was questioned at length after fulltime regarding the amount of added time played. The Hethersett team were disappointed as their play deserved at least a draw.

Hethersett's passing football improved after the break with further goals from Butcher and Bishop. Josh Denny reverted from defence to midfield and added two long range goals to the tally. April 24th                         Attleborough     1    Hethersett   2

Hethersett began this Saturday fixture with a full strength side featuring striker Robert Warminger who was not expected to play due to injury. The match began in a scrappy fashion with Attleborough taking the lead with a lobbed shot. Hethersett struggled to control the midfield until shortly before the break when player of the month Jack Walker fed Warminger on the right who slotted home from a tight angle. Hethersett created another couple of chances but the first half ended 1-1. After the break both sides applied pressure without reward. Late on in the half, Josh Denny reverted from defence to midfield to feed Warminger again on the right to lob the keeper with a trademark goal. Attleborough surged forward late on but could not break through Hethersetts defence. Lemmon, Parker, Butcher, Ryan, Cowan, Mehtab, Read, Wyatt, Frazer, Easter and Bishop also deserve credit for their contribution for this hard earned victory securing Hethersetts 3rd place finish in the league. Final score Attleborough 1 Hethersett 2
