TEAMS/REPORTS

Sept 20th           Hethersett    13    Mattishall     1

This was Hethersett best ever result but they still didn't play as well as they are capable of. As the opposition fell behind theur became more physlical on and off the ball.

November 22nd     Hethersett    1   Poringland    4

It was a cold, wet and miserable day. Both teams played well in the strong wind but Hethersett lost concentration.

December 6th       Costessey     0     Hethersett     2

A game that at times resembled tennis, with both teams giving away the ball in heavy conditions. Hethersett proved to be better at passing with some excellent linking moves finished off by Will Foster coming to the rescue off the bench.

TEAM: Will Plumb, Oliver Kearney, Lewis Sanders, Jake Doughty, Tom McDonagh, James Skipper, Oliver Pfeiffer, Nick Middleton, Max Tarrant, James Groom, Harrison Cheal-Ferris, Will Foster, James Burton

December 13th      Hethersett    0     Wymondham    0

The team's first ever 0-0 scoreline. A close match between two well organised teams with chances few and far between. Hethersett probably missed more than Wymondham but it was a good team performance with some excellent defending.

January 24th       Hethersett     5    Norwich United   1

A relief to be playing again after such a long break.  After a close first 35 mins in sticky conditions, Hethersett produced some well worked moves to make all the difference in the second half.

February 7th        Watton    6      Hethersett   0

This was a day when nothing Hethersett did turned out well and Watton scored with virtually every attack they had.

TEAM - William Plumb, Curtis Alton, Lewis Sanders, Jake Doughty, Tom McDonagh, Luke Maddox, Theo Griffiths, Oliver Kearney, Oliver Pfeiffer, Harrison Cheal-Ferris, Will Foster, James Skipper, Max Tarrant.

February 14th              Wymondham     5    Hethersett   0

A very scrappy game on a boggy pitch where Hethersett felt too many painful tackles that eventually made them wary and less competetive. We were much better in the second half and for the second week running we could have had a closer score.

TEAM - William Plumb, Curtis Alton, Lewis Sanders, Jake Doughty, James Skipper, Luke Maddox, Theo Griffiths, Oliver Kearney, Matthew Cushion, James Groom, Will Foster, Harrison Cheal-Ferris

March 21st                     Harling    3       Hethersett       2

17 players in the squad but a combination of school bugs, injuries, appendex operations and a bowls match(?) meant we only turned out eleven players. One player injured after fifteen minutes meant we playeed the game against a physical opposition with just 10 players. However, a much more spirited performance from Hethersett meant we pushed them much closer this week, almost turning round a 5-1 defeat previously. With eleven players playing with that commitment we may have had a better result.

TEAM -  Will Plumb, Curtis Alton, Lewis Sanders, Jake Doughty, Thomas McDonagh, Oliver Pfeiffer, Luke Maddox, James Skipper, Matthew Cushion, James Groom, Nick Middleton

March 28th                    Firside    1    Hethersett    3

Hethersett returned to winning ways in a game where the main opposition came from the wind and the local rabbits. The pitch had so many holes it made control very difficult and passing from both sides was off target and scrappy.  Hethersett still had most of the posession but failed to take advantage with too much passing and too many touches in the box.  A  speculative punt at the goal from Curtis was the best goal, dropping in behind the keeper from a height almost equal to the aircraft taking off nearby.

TEAM - Will Plumb, Curtis Alton, Lewis Sanders, Theo Griffiths, Thomas McDonagh, Oliver Pfeiffer, Luke Maddox, James Skipper, James Burton, Will Foster, Nick Middleton, Oliver Lierney, Matthew Cushion.

April 11th                    Fakenham    2    Hethersett    1

Hethersett were again hit by unavialability.

TEAM - Will Plumb, Curtis Alton, Lewis Sanders, Jake Doughty, Oliver Kearney, Oliver Pfeiffer, Matthew Cushion, James Skipper, James Burton, Will Foster, James Groom, Harrison Cheal-Ferris

April 18th                        Mattishall     1     Hethersett   4

Htehersett returned to winning ways and had the luck with a lob that dropped into the goal and an own goal contributing to their victory.

TEAM - Will Plumb, Curtis Alton, James Skipper, Jake Doughty, Oliver Kearney, Oliver Pfeiffer, Matthew Cushion, Nick Middleton, James Burton, Will Foster, James Groom, Harrison Cheal-Ferris, Theo Griffiths

May 9th                        Hethersett       3     Watton    2

May 16th                            Hethersett     1     Fakenham     3

A horrible end to the season with the game abandoned with about 15 minutes to go, due to a broken ankle to one of the Fakenham boys.

TEAM - Will Plumb, Lewis Sanders, James Skipper, Jake Doughty, Thomas McDonagh, Oliver Pfeiffer, Theo Griffiths, Matthew Cushion, James Burton, William Foster, James Groom, Harrison Cheal-Ferris, Max Tarrant, Nick Middleton
