Excellent sporting battle between 2 evenly matched teams. Looked like it was going to end in a 0-0 draw.

Until Sean Murray popped up in extra timeto bag the winner in a Norwich City-esk way!

April 3rd                Hethersett      5     Hillside     2

A real Mother's Day treat for all the players mums today. Hethersett were a little slow out of their blocks, and as a result the 1st half was end to end stuff  until Henry Kemp broke through the defence to score, 1-0. Hillside were fighting hard and after a defensive mix up they got their equaliser, 1-1. Shortly after Akos Csorba broke down the right skinning 2 midfielders, crossed the ball high into the middle, but the keeper could not control the ball and it finished up in the net,2-1. Second half saw Akos Csorba get his second when he pounced on a Hillside goalkick and ran it in to score,3-1. Just as the game was feeling safe Hillside got a corner and scored a real cracking inswinger, 3-2. Almost immediately after Hethersett were attacking and Henry Kemp crossed a ball from the right which Will Bussey connected with first time and drilled it into the bottom corner,4-2. As the game drew to a close Mr Ethan Banks stepped forward to make it safe,5-2. Very well played all concerned on both teams.

April 17th                 Mulbarton     0     Hethersett     2

That was another brilliant performance. Every player performed to the best of their ability against arguably one of the best teams in the division. We have been amazing since we gave everybody a 5 game headstart as we didn't have enough players. That was a really competitive , fair game, refereed by an extremely fair ref. At half time it was very tight 0-0. The 2nd half saw again both teams attacking, Will and Aaron were snuffing out the Mulbarton attacks and Henry and Akos were a constant nuisance to the Mulbarton defence. Halfway through the 2nd half saw Hethersett attacking, Henry's shot was parried by the goalkeeper, but it fell to Ethan Banks to tuck away with aplomb. The remainder of the game was end to end still. Until in extra time Henry Kemp stuck a volley in the bottom corner of the Mulbarton net. The best possible end to the season. Well done boys!!!
